 The 'Sustainable Compassion'

Blueprint For Eco-Orphanages

Sustainability: A Cornerstone of Our Mission

At The Foundation Charity Orphanage, we understand the importance of sustainability in creating a better world for future generations. That's why we're committed to integrating eco-friendly practices into every aspect of our operations. From renewable energy sources to organic farming, sustainability is not just a goal; it's a way of life.

Investing in the Future: Aquaponics, Solar Power, and Battery Technology

As an investor who values sustainability and self-sufficiency, you play a crucial role in shaping the future of our orphanage. By incorporating innovative technologies like Aquaponics, solar power, and advanced battery systems, we are not only reducing our environmental footprint but also ensuring the long-term health and prosperity of our children.

Aquaponics: A Sustainable Solution for Food Production

Aquaponics is a revolutionary farming technique that combines aquaculture (fish farming) with hydroponics (soilless plant cultivation). By harnessing the natural symbiosis between fish and plants, aquaponics allows us to produce a diverse range of fresh, organic fruits and vegetables in a fraction of the space and with minimal water usage. Not only does this provide our children with nutritious meals year-round, but it also generates revenue through sales to local hotels and restaurants, promoting economic growth in the region

Solar Power: Harnessing the Power of the Sun

In a region blessed with abundant sunlight, solar power is a logical choice for powering our orphanage. By installing solar panels and leveraging solar energy storage solutions, we are reducing our reliance on fossil fuels and contributing to the fight against climate change. Solar power not only provides clean, renewable energy for our operations but also creates opportunities for job training and skill development for our children, empowering them to become leaders in the green economy of tomorrow.

Battery Technology: Paving the Way for Energy Independence

In addition to solar power, advanced battery technology plays a crucial role in ensuring a reliable and resilient energy supply for our orphanage. By investing in state-of-the-art battery storage systems, we can store excess solar energy during the day and use it to power our operations at night or during periods of low sunlight. This not only enhances our energy independence but also reduces our reliance on the grid, making us more resilient in the face of power outages and other disruptions.

With her leadership, our Aquaponics and food business initiatives will not only transform the lives of our children but will also empower our community to build a brighter future together

Commercial and community Aquaponics systems have now proven themselves over the last two decades and are becoming more effective and efficient as the technology improves. Many people are contributing to the movement and it now appears that community Aquaponics has finally arrived as a viable alternative to the easily disrupted food supply and the huge increase in the demand for locally grown, pesticide free food.

For investors looking for an ROI in the two to four year range, a construction company looking for a new arena to expand into over the next decade or two or even a Ministry of Agriculture or an NGO wanting to improve the lives of local people, community Aquaponics is a viable option to address their desired outcomes to provide food and work for local people.

The large community installations employ local people on both a temporary (building the systems) and permanent basis (operating, harvesting and planting) and contribute to the local economy. The initial markets are necessarily local markets; resort hotels, high-end restaurants, foodies and speciality markets catering to the wealthy. Within the next few years, community Aquaponics systems will contribute to local food supplies on a much broader scale (supermarkets and institutional growing for schools and prisons), but initially they may only contribute to the local economy through job creation.

Example numbers:
(we have local high end hotels interested already in super green produce)

An investor group planning to install a commercial (10,000 sq ft – 1/4 acre, 1,000m2) Portable Farms® Aquaponics Systems next to a restaurant in a major US city. Here is what we are planning to accomplish with their first installation leverage the combined knowledge of Aquapoinics growers locally and enterprise planning and installation to ensure optimal set ups and systems including triple resilience generators and solar-battery ensuring 24/7 productions and growth:

  • Showcase the use of Aquaponics as a LOCAL FOOD SOURCE
  • Deliver locally grown, pesticide free vegetables to their customers not treated with chemicals
  • Place locally grown fresh-water healthy fish on the menu that were not treated with chemicals or any Reduce transportation costs for most vegetables to ZERO
  • Serve food that was harvested on the DAY it was meant to be harvested which enhances both the flavor and the nutritional content of the food
  • Dramatically reduces their carbon footprint
  • Reduces storage costs because the food is harvested as needed

Investor Benefits:

  • Realize an ROI of two to four years

  • Net-net income for 1/4 acre is approximately US$100,000 or more depending on hotel margins and the selection of greens, salads and fish we sell

  • Become the best supplier for many of the vegetables and salads

  • Start a framework, SOPs and ethos to roll out Orphanage Produce Network

  • Become local spokespersons for using local suppliers and growers

  • Offers owners ‘bragging rights’ to attract news coverage in the media.
